To get to the village, you can anchor your yacht in Clifton Harbour, amidst the coral reefs... and the other yachts! What's more, a large reef in the middle of the bay, the Roundabout Reef, nibbles away at much of the available space. Anchors don't always catch easily, so don't hesitate to take a “dead body” to make sure you don't slip.

In the village, you'll find numerous bars and shops, or, for those with a sweet tooth, a large market offering a wide choice of local produce. This is often a good place to stock up on fresh produce. Union Island is also a great place to take a stroll through its rugged terrain, with splendid views of the surrounding islands. It's also a good place to clear out if you're heading back up to Saint Lucia.

If you're looking for a more authentic anchorage, Chatham Bay is the place to go. This heavenly spot, with its fine sandy beach where you can enjoy a barbecue under a straw hut, will enchant you. The snorkelling here is magnificent, with plenty of fish close to the rocks, as well as sea turtles that you can even spot from the boat....
