The natural reserve of Caravelle is to be found in the commune of Tartane, a typical small village of the north of Martinique.

The coastline consists of numerous coves, each of which is an ideal spot for swimming.

There is also a great spot well-known to surfers, at Bonneville cove.

Once ashore at Caravelle, you can visit the ruins of the Chateau Dubuc, built in 1725.
At that time, this was the site of a sugar and coffee plantation.
Nowadays, only the ruins of the walls of a large manor house remain, with a magnificent view over the sea.
