Diving festival (July)

Dominica is renowned for being a special place for whale and sperm whale spotting, and has exceptional underwater seascapes.

This unique festival is organised by the Dominica Watersports Association

Dominica festival of Art

This festival is dedicated to shows, dance, theatre and other artistic activities. It promotes and showcases local Dominican artists.

Independance Fête

Each year, the island celebrates its independance from Great Britain, which took place on 3rd November, 1978. The festivities showcase traditional costumes and dances, typical musical instruments, like the bamboo flute, as well as local culinary specialities.

The Kalinago week (September)

The Kalinago territory is a reserve characteristic of Dominica, with a surface area of 15 km2 and which was created in order to regroup the indigenous people of the Caribbean who lived in these islands well before the arrival of Europeans...The festival celebrates the Kalinago community, its values and traditions, with a variety of debates and tributes.

Creole Music Festival (October)

The "World Creole Music Festival" of Dominica is very well-known and attracts numerous Caribbean artists as well as those from as far away as Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago and the French Islands of Guadeloupe and Martinique.
