Bequia (otherwise known as “Békoué”) is the largest island in the famous Grenadines archipelago. You can take a mooring in the large Admiralty Bay, or leave your boat at anchor. Make yourself at home in front of the little church, or head south to Margaret Beach if you prefer a little more seclusion.

Bequia offers you your first contact with beaches, tropical fish and turtles. Admire the beautiful “country boats” built on the island. Take a look around you, and let yourself be enchanted by the warm atmosphere of the English West Indies.

Hurry up and get your entry clearance, so you can go and discover the pleasures of this mixed-race island. Take in the view from the top of Fort Hamilton, or stay at sea level and enjoy the white sandy coves. Visit the Bequia Maritime Museum and learn about the island's seafaring history, where whales are occasionally hunted... Have lunch in one of the many excellent restaurants lining the shore (most of which can be reached by dinghy), or take a stroll through Port Elizabeth's unique, colorful village. Music is omnipresent here, often set to the rhythm of the steel-bands, the beautiful-sounding percussion bands made from old oil drums.

The smiles of the locals are sure to make you succumb to the charms of the Grenadines.
