Located between the islands of Union and Canouan, Mayreau is tiny. And yet, its welcome is no match for its size! The marvellous arched beach of Saline Bay, the main anchorage, or the wilder Salt Whistle Bay, invite you to come down and dip your feet in the warm sand.
At Saline Bay, you'll have to climb up to visit the small village nestling at the top of the hill. Your efforts will be rewarded by a splendid view of the neighbouring islands, including the beautiful Tobago Cays and their immense coral reef. You'll be enchanted by the many bars where you'll find something to quench your thirst, like the very typical “Robert's”! Push on to the little church site to enjoy the panorama, and take in the wonderful archipelago that is the Grenadines.
At Salt Whistle Bay, approach the beach for a slightly less windy anchorage. The scenery is breathtaking: two beaches beckon, separated by a simple strip of land, a small tropical isthmus. What tranquility! Don't hesitate to take advantage of the beach barbecues - the lobsters are excellent!
